Culinary Students Compete for $30,000 in Scholarships
Each year, amidst the clanking of pots and pans, the aroma of delicious dishes and the excitement of onlookers, Kraft Foodservice awards $30,000 in scholarships. Students from four of the nation’s top culinary schools vie for prize money in a live competition that is judged by the Chefs of Grey Poupon.
“It has been an amazing experience training for this competition over the past couple of months,” says the 2010 first place winner, Sonali Ruder of The Institute of Culinary Education. “It is something that I will never forget. I am so happy that I was able to bring home the win, not only for myself, but for my school.” The 2010 competition also featured promising young chefs from Kendall College, Johnson & Wales University and The Culinary Institute of America.
