Caribbean Steak Flatbread Sandwich

beef skirt steaks (4 oz. each) 6 lb. 24 each
salt and black pepper - to taste
A.1. Thick & Hearty Steak Sauce 24 fl oz 3 cups
orange marmalade 2 lb. + 4 oz. 3 cups
canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, pureed 2 oz. 1/4 cup
flatbreads (6x3 inch) 4 lb. + 8 oz. 48 each
shredded pepper Jack cheese 2 lb. + 4 oz. 1-1/2 qt.
red onions, cut into thin slices, separated into rings 6 oz. -
OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cooked, drained 12 oz. 48 slices
butter, melted 12 oz. 1-1/2 cups
iceberg lettuce, chiffonade 1 lb. + 8 oz. 1-1/2 qt.
tomatoes, each cut into 6 slices 1 lb. + 8 oz. 8 each


SEASON steaks with salt and black pepper. Grill on medium-high heat 2 to 3 min. on each side for medium, or desired doneness. Remove from grill. Let stand 2 min. Diagonally cut steaks across the grain into thin slices; keep warm.

MIX steak sauce, marmalade and chipotle puree.

FOR each serving: Place 3-1/2 oz. meat on 1 flatbread; top with 2 Tbsp. marmalade mixture, 1/4 cup (1-1/2 oz.) cheese, 1/4 oz. onions and 2 bacon slices; cover with second flatbread. Brush outside of sandwich evenly with 1 Tbsp. butter.

COOK in panini grill 1 to 2 min. or until sandwich is golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve plated with 1/4 cup (1 oz.) lettuce and 2 tomato slices on the side.

Kraft Kitchens Tips

Prepare as directed, substituting a 4-oz. boneless skinless chicken breast for each steak and increasing the grilling time to 3 to 4 min. on each side or until chicken is done (165ºF).
Instead of cooking in the panini grill, place assembled sandwiches on preheated 350ºF-flat-top griddle. Cover with weight. Cook 2 min. on each side or until sandwich is golden brown on both sides and cheese is melted.
Open-Face Flatbread Steak Sandwich
To serve as open-face sandwich, assemble sandwich as directed except do not top with the second flatbread. Place in sheet pan. Bake in 350ºF-convection oven 2 to 3 min. or until cheese is melted and all ingredients are heated through.
