Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup Fries

white bread slices - 48 slices
KRAFT Pasteurized Process American Cheese Slices 3 lb. 48 slices
butter, softened 12 oz. 1-1/2 cups
frozen french fried potatoes 2-1/4 lb. -
canned condensed tomato soup, prepared as directed on label 96 fl oz 3 qt.
CHEEZ WHIZ Pasteurized Process Cheese Sauce, warmed 1 lb. + 2 oz. 2-1/4 cups
green onions, sliced 1-1/2 oz. 3/4 cup


MAKE 24 sandwiches (or 2 sandwiches for trial recipe) using 2 bread slices and 2 cheese slices for each sandwich. Spread outside of each sandwich evenly with 1 Tbsp. butter. Refrigerate until ready to grill.

FOR each portion, 2 servings: Grill 2 sandwiches on 350ºF flat top 1 to 2 min. on each side or until golden brown on both sides.

MEANWHILE, deep fry 3 oz. french fries as directed on package; drain.

LADLE 1 cup hot soup into shallow bowl. Drizzle with 3 Tbsp. (1-1/2 oz.) CHEEZ WHIZ; swirl gently. Cut each sandwich into 4 (1-inch-wide) strips; stand strips in center of bowl of soup. Stand 3 oz. french fries around sandwich strips; sprinkle with 1 Tbsp.onions.
