Mexican-Style BBQ Sauce

3-1/2 qt. or 112 servings, 2 Tbsp. each

OPEN PIT Original Restaurant Recipe Barbecue Sauce 9 lb. 1 bottle
chili powder 3 oz. 3/4 cup
ground cumin 1 oz. 1/4 cup + 1 tsp.

Directions

MIX all ingredients in saucepan; bring to boil on medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

STORE in covered container in refrigerator until ready to use.

Oven Roasted Spare Ribs: Bake ribs in 325°F-standard oven for 30 minutes. Brush with prepared sauce. Bake an additional 30 to 50 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 170°F, brushing occasionally with additional sauce.
