Oriental Sesame Beef Salad

Ingredients Weights Measures
beef sirloin steak 6 lb. -
KRAFT Oriental Sesame Dressing, divided 4 lb. + 8 oz. 2-1/4 qt.
Savoy cabbage, finely shredded 5 lb. + 8 oz. 2-1/4 qt.
fresh ginger, grated 2 oz. 1/4 cup
green onions, chopped 1 oz. 1/2 cup
crushed red pepper - 1 Tbsp.
sesame seed, toasted - 1 Tbsp.
cilantro, chopped - 1/2 cup


MARINATE steak in dressing in refrigerator for 1 hour, using 2 Tbsp. dressing for every 4 oz. of steak.

TOSS cabbage with ginger, onions, pepper flakes and sesame seed.

COOK steak until cooked through; cut across the grain into thin strips.

FOR each serving: Place 1-3/4 cups of the cabbage mixture on serving plate; top with 4 oz. of the steak strips. Drizzle with 1/4 cup of the remaining dressing. Garnish with 1 tsp. cilantro. Serve immediately.

Kraft Kitchens Tips

To give tang to the salad, add desired amount of drained canned mandarin orange segments to cabbage mixture.
For a bolder flavor, marinate the steak overnight.
