PREPARE pudding with milk as directed on package. Refrigerate 2 hours or until thickened.
MEANWHILE, mix butter and sugar in large bowl. Stir in chopped wafers and nuts.
SPOON 1/4 cup of the pudding into each of 32 (4-oz.) clear plastic cups (or into each of 8 cups for trial recipe). Top each with 2 Tbsp. of the wafer mixture, 1/4 cup strawberries and 1 Tbsp. of the whipped topping. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
